Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 1 year License: Valid registered nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Previous telemetry experience - Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips - Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills Description: This position offers a rotating schedule every four weeks. The traveler will be assigned the same straight shifts for four weeks. After that, they will rotate to the opposite shift for the next four weeks. The on-site unit provides care for inmates. It is a locked unit requiring access from corrections personnel. Patient population includes those with active oncology diagnoses and treatments. Patients may also be admitted for other reasons such as surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia. All candidates must be aware of the urgency of the fingerprinting process. Candidates must complete fingerprints as soon as the contract is signed. Travelers must be cooperative with credentialing to avoid cancellations. Two professional references are required for submission. References must include at least one from a manager or formal leader. Coworker references are not accepted. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
