As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Response in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will engage with customers and team members, provide clear communication and exceptional service, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspected theft, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and theft.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
