As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in LOS ANGELES, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeThur07:00 AM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report unusual activity in accordance with campus policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving students, visitors, and/or campus operations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain required documentation, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and follow applicable procedures for armed post assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess 1+ years' law enforcement experience, 2+ years' security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years' security-related experience.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
